Derry City and Strabane District Council invites you to join us to mark the 70th anniversary of the surrender of the German U-boats in Lough Foyle in 1945.

Visit the Guildhall to discover more about the city and region during World War II. There will be opportunities to watch a short drama about the surrender of the U-boats as well as view film footage of interviews with those who remember this event.

There will be activities for all ages in the Guildhall. Come along meet the Tower Museum staff, handle some of the items from the Museum Collection, view displays from the other exhibitors such as Base One Europe. Royal British Legion and Bedlam or experience a 1940s style set and have your photograph taken.

You can attend the History Ireland Hedge School at the Tower Museum from 2-4pm
